Coolest Locations for your Personal Brand Photography session in London

Updated: Feb 25

For Nice Graffiti:

Shoreditch

East London is swimming with walls of urban art. This kind of backdrop gives your personal brand photographs an edgy, vibrant and youthful feel.

For Grey/Concrete/City:

Barbican Centre

Famous for it's brutalist architecture. This central London location is a prime spot for free co-working spaces, coffee meetings, and skateboarders. It lies on the border between corporate and arty. A personal brand photography session here includes urban backdrops as well as jungle plant life, gentle coffee moments, shadows and concrete stairwells.

For Nature:

Hampstead Heath.

This is my favourite place in London. I often photograph family sessions on the heath. It offers such a variety of natural back drops as opposed to the other London parks. Here, you can mistake yourself for being in the countryside, whilst being surrounded by coffee glugging Londoners walking their Hungarian Vizla's. Hampstead Heath offers a personal brand shoot some epic London views, long grasses, dinosaur era trees, Jane Eyre bridges and natural swimming pools. I know all the secret spots with the best lighting!

For chic townhouses:

Primrose Hill

If you're after chic pastel coloured townhouses for your personal brand photoshoot backdrop, this is your place. Primrose Hill epitomises aspirational values, offers a historical London element to the backdrop, whilst encapsulating modern trends. The high street is bustling with alfresco restaurants, wellness centres and quirky bookstores. The local parks Primrose Hill and Regents Park also offer local natural backdrops for your personal branding shoot.

Brick/Modern:

Coal Drops Yard

This is my 'town.' If I ever say I'm going into town. A far cry from the chaos of Oxford Street. Coal Drops Yard has been designed with space in mind. There isn't a chain store in sight. Shoppers and Restaurant goers can relax in a large pedestrian area without cars.

This London space offers so many opportunities for back drops for a personal brand photo shoot. There's a canal, fountains, brick walls, stair wells, and angles. There are never crowds to get lost in. This is an urban area to be tranquil in. Every great photo backdrop is contained in a concentrated area.

Bustling Market:

Queens Park Market on a Sunday/Lonsdale Road

Lonsdale Road
Lonsdale Road

This is a slightly off the beaten track family orientated, residential area in London. A hub for largely middle aged busy workers who like a bit of everything. From farmers markets, to reformer pilates studios and hip restaurants.

If you want to incorporate a bit of lifestyle in your personal brand photoshoot, Queens Park may just be your ideal place in London to do so.

Residential/Independent Shops:

Crouch End

My home. I don't think there's anything quite like this place, in the world! If it had a beach and a bit more sun, it would be ideal.

Crouch End is one of the few places in London, that has managed to sustain a prosperous community. Big chains don't do well here. Independents flourish. Families with young children flock here for the child friendly businesses and the nearby forests.

From a personal brand photographer's perspective, this is an ideal London backdrop for any community or family minded business or individual, the houses look suburban, the forests are ancient and wild, and the streets are bustling with people who never want to leave.

Fairytale:

The Hill Garden and Pergola

Pergola Gardens

For a more surreal personal brand photoshoot in London, this is your place. Tucked away off the back of Hampstead Heath, this location gives castle/ethereal vibes. Perfect for a personal brand who wants to depict a business on the natural, cinematic, holistic, or spiritual side of life.

Nautical Vibes:

Greenwich

Greenwich
Greenwich

This is the place in London for good old sailor pubs and Thames feels. A personal brand photography shoot here is great for views of the cityscape from the more alternative facing angle, river back drops, bustling town vibes and there's a local park to get some nature in as well! The more backdrops you can get on your personal brand shoot, the more varied and therefore, interesting your content!
